Overview

This was a zippy hour-ish overview of Postman features, with a brief intro to API testing to start. I used freely available public APIs, sticking with a travel theme, to cover different testing scenarios across the hour. We did a Q&A session after we cut the recording, and chatted about API documentation and QA as well. It was a well-attended session for our group.

Are you new to the world of APIs? What’s a Postman, anyway?

If any of the above are confusing, or you are curious, or both, then this is the session for you. This is a high-level review of Postman, the popular software suite for developer and testing APIs. This is a remote session with an accessible, free public workspace in Postman that you can follow along with as the speaker covers topics, so feel free to experiment as we go and come back to topics later as you become more comfortable with the software.
